American
Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers
The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers is an
educational and scientific organization dedicated to the advancement
of engineering applicable to agricultural, food, and biological
systems. Founded in 1907 and headquartered in St Joseph, Michigan,
ASABE comprises 9,000 members in more than 100 countries.
International
Commission of Agricultural Engineering
The International
Commission of Agricultural Engineering (CIGR, Commission
Internationale du Génie Rural) was set up by a Constituent Assembly
on the occasion of the first International Congress of Agricultural
Engineering, held in Liege, Belgium in 1930. It is an international,
non-governmental, non-profit organisation regrouping, as a
networking system, Regional and National Societies of Agricultural
Engineering as well as private and public companies and individuals
all over the world.
