paths in the sciences can lead to almost any industry -- from
manufacturing, to medicine, to microeconomics. The Career Cornerstone Center offers resources to explore career paths in
atmospheric
science,
biology,
chemistry, the
geosciences,
physics, and
science technology.
Each section offers
resources on earnings, employers, and universities offering degrees in
each field. In addition, the preparation areas provide insight
into the courses a student might take, and the importance of internships
or other work experiences.
Find
out what a day in the life of a scientist entails, and learn about the
wide variety of specialty areas within the broad fields. For example,
within biology there are many specialty areas which may be of interest,
including immunology, neuroscience, and pharmacology.
